About Me
I am a Professor at the Institute of Applied Mathematics, Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
I received my Ph.D. in Operations Research and Cybernetics from the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2010, advised by Hanqin Zhang. During my doctoral studies, I was an exchange student at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009, working with Professors J. G. “Jim” Dai and John H. Vande Vate. Before that, I received my B.S. in Information and Computing Science from Shandong University in 2005.
Research Interests
My research focuses on inventory management, queueing models, and stochastic optimal control, with particular interest in the application of data-driven methods and machine learning to these areas.
My current theoretical interests include optimal policies for stochastic inventory models, the optimization and approximation of stochastic queueing networks, optimal control and switching policies for stochastic systems, and minimal representations of phase-type distributions.
